Is no secret that Demi Lovato has been away from the spotlight for some time to properly recuperate from an drug overdose she had back in 2018.
Thankfully, after succesfully competing rehab, now she is back with more music and stronger than ever.
Her first appearance was a very emotional performance at the 2020 Grammys, Demi along with the audience were touched by the song "Anyone" which was the last thing she recorded before she was found unconscious at her home.
After releasing "I love me" this year the single debuted at No.18 on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated March 21), arriving as the week's top-selling song.
The track sold 38,000 on the Digital Song Sales its first week, it is the the week's top selling song .
The song talks about the struggles of keeping up with society's beauty standards and Demi's own internal battles with who she is and who the media wants her to be.
The video for this same track is filled with easter eggs regarding Demi's past, specially her Disney phase very clearly showing characters from "Sonny With A Chance" and "Jonas Brothers".
It seems like Demi is back stronger than ever, not only in her music but in her psychological state as well.
