Some of the best movie soundtracks to remember

Here is a small compilation with 8 of the most popular soundtracks that have made the audience remember even more epically a specific movie or scene, starting from the 80´s all the way to the 2000´s. (click on each picture to hear the tracks)



8. ¨The NeverEnding story¨ (1984) which has the same title as the movie it appears at, was an instant classic reaching N.1 in multiple countries charts, the English version was performed by Limahl .

This track recently re-surfaced the internet after being featured in the popular Netflix show Stranger Things which seemed to be some kind of homage to the original film.



7. ¨Eye of The Tiger¨ (1982) is a song that to this day its still probably used by thousands to get that extra inspiration while working out, it was used for the film Rocky III and since then became extremely popular with people doing physical therapy, marathons and weightlifting.

Written and performed by Frankie Sullivan.


6. ¨Footloose¨ (1984), who could forget the famous moves delivered by Kevin Bacon in Footloose, this song was written and performed by Kenny Loggins and spent 3 weeks at No.1 at the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2011 the song was covered by Blake Shelton for the remake of the movie.



5. ¨I´ve Had The Time of My Life¨ (1987) from the movie Dirty Dancing is another classic song that has lived through history since so many remixes have been made, including the group The Black Eyed Peas.

It was originally performed by Billy Medley and Jennifer Warnes, winning a Golden Globe, Academy Award and a Grammy Award.



4. ¨Can You Feel The love Tonight¨ (1993) composed and performed by the legendary Elthon John for the original Disney animated film, The Lion King.

This very romantic piece gave Elthon John the Grammy Award for ¨Best Male Pop Vocal Performance¨ at the 67th Academy Awards.


3. ¨My Heart Will Go On¨ (1997) has been probably one of the most nostalgic ballads to ever be written, as if the Titanic wasn't already sad enough this soundtrack made sure everyone would end up crying their eyes out at the end.

It was performed by Celine Dion and became an international hit all over the world.



2. ¨Young and Beautiful¨ (2013) was used for the movie The Great Gatsby, it was very acclaimed by contemporary music critics because of its unique ¨somber¨ and ¨Hunting¨ style.

Performed by Lana del Rey this song gave her a nomination for the Grammy Awards, although it didn't actually got to win.



1. ¨Shallow¨ (2018) from the film A Star is Born was performed and written by Lady Gaga, this song topped the record charts in multiple countries and it was performed live at the 61th Annual Grammy Awards by Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
